Marlins Man changes his visor for special Royals hat in support of KC fire department
You know Marlins Man when you see him.
The hat. The windbreaker. All that orange, right?
One day after publicly announcing he was pulling for the Royals to make it back to the World Series, he was at Kauffman Stadium for Game 5 of the American League Division Series.
And Marlins Man (Real name: Laurence Leavy) was wearing one of the special Royals hats made to support the KC fire department.
I spoke with Leavy after the game, and he said that he gave $1,000 to each of the families of the firefighters who died on Monday. Leavy also said that he wore a Kansas City fire department shirt for most of the game as well.
