Texas governor’s official account tweets congratulations to Astros for winning ALDS
This is why you don’t let someone else know your Twitter password.
When the Astros took a 6-2 lead into the eighth inning, this tweet came from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott:

— Cliff Saunders (@cliffsaunders) October 12, 2015Naturally, it’s been deleted, but as you can see Cliff Saunders of Sports Talk 790 got the scoop:
Gov. Abbott Tweet was sent by his office @GovAbbott Did not come from Governor's personal feed, which is @GregAbbott_TX so it was a staffer
— Cliff Saunders (@cliffsaunders) October 12, 2015No matter if it was a staffer, that is embarrassing because the Royals rallied to take the lead in the top of the eighth and won 9-6.
Later, Abbott tweeted this:
Hey @Astros fans. Unfollow --> @GovAbbott. Follow the REAL Greg Abbott right here. No predictions. Just support.
— Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) October 12, 2015Too late. The damage was done. Here is what the local politicians tweeted:
Congrats to the #Royals! Not so fast, my friend, @GovAbbott. See you Wednesday. #TaketheCrown pic.twitter.com/SV1wb6Iadl
