Hey, at least the weather was nice.

In about a 48-hour span after the Royals won game two of the American League Division Series at Kauffman Stadium, things went south for sports fans in Kansas City.

1. The Kansas football team lost to Baylor — by a lot, but that was expected.

2. Missouri lost at home to Florida. Disappointing, for sure.

3. Kansas State coughed up a big lead and missed a chance to upset TCU at home. That stung.

4. The Chiefs blew a huge lead against the injured and mostly impotent Bears. Yikes.

5. And ... the Royals lost game three of the ALDS. Sigh.
