Royals players surprise fans with tickets to game six of the World Series
One of the perks of playing in the World Series is being able to give away tickets to a game.
“Oh, yeah,” Royals designated hitter Billy Butler said. “That doesn’t always happen.”
But that’s what Butler did as he took to Twitter on Monday night with this question:
KC fans If you could give 1 ticket to Game Six of the World Series away to someone…Who would it be? Why? AND how would you surprise them?
— Billy Butler (@BillyButlerKC) October 26, 2014That was retweeted 186 times with people offering all sorts of reasons why they should get a ticket.
The winning response was for a fan who would surprise his daughter with tickets:

— Billy Butler (@BillyButlerKC) October 28, 2014Butler and his wife Katie looked over the candidates and picked their favorite one.
“It was a kid’s birthday yesterday and the other one tomorrow,” Butler said. “It was a double-birthday thing, so that was cool to me.”
The recipients of the tickets were thrilled.

Outfielder Josh Willingham also gave away tickets on Tuesday.
