Royals’ Eric Hosmer is dating Kacie McDonnell

The Royals are in the midst of a nine-game road trip, but Thursday was an off day.

First baseman Eric Hosmer apparently used his free day to go on a date with girlfriend ... Kacie McDonnell.

You may recall that McDonnell moved from Philadelphia to Kansas City to be closer with then-boyfriend, Chiefs quarterback Aaron Murray.

The two were engaged for a while before breaking it off.

McDonnell is working as part of Sporting Kansas City's broadcast team and is KSHB’s traffic reporter.

Hosmer posted this photo of himself with McDonnell early this morning.
