For Pete's Sake

Eagles’ Jason Kelce delivered the best parade speech ever (sorry, Jonny Gomes)

First, you have to start with the outfit.

At the Eagles’ Super Bowl celebration on Thursday, center Jason Kelce was dressed in, well, what? Let’s call it a matador/genie outfit. (UPDATE: I’ve been told by a few nice people in Philadelphia that it is a Mummer’s Outfit)

Then Kelce was spotted drinking a beer while signing an autograph for a police officer. But that was nothing compared to his speech to the fans during the celebration.

Remember how Jonny Gomes went off on the doubters during the Royals’ World Series celebration? Well, Kelce named people when he was defending his team.

Here is what Kelce said about coach Doug Pederson: “When Doug Pederson was hired, he was rated as the worst coaching hire by a lot of frickin’ analysts out there in the media.

“This offseason, some clown named Mike Lombardi told him that he was the least qualified head coach in the NFL! You saw ... Doug Pederson, a man who went for it on fourth down, went for it on fourth down in the Super Bowl! With the trick play!

“He’s not playing just to be mediocre! He’s playing for a Super Bowl!”

Kelce didn’t name everyone on the Eagles, but he nearly lost his voice while listing off those who were overlooked. It was epic.

Here is a clip of the speech, and while it may seem that the audio went out, that was just Kelce’s curse words being taken out. Seriously.

Even Eric Hosmer was impressed:
