Chiefs fans hammer team after tweet about AFC West race
The 5-0 start. The current record of 6-6. The three-way tie for first in the AFC West.
Chiefs fans are well aware of all these facts. So when the team on Tuesday tweeted a link to a story about the Raiders and Chargers moving into a first-place tie in the AFC West, some fans were quite unhappy.
Here is the tweet:
Around the AFC West: Chargers and Raiders join us atop the division.

Note that the photo is of Raiders quarterback Derek Carr with the headline of a story on the Chiefs’ website: “Around the AFC West: Chargers and Raiders join us atop the division.”
Here are some of the responses from fans (some I couldn’t include, because they included some bad language):
You act like that is something to be proud of!#Smh

This sounds like Bronco country PR. It's a three-way tie. Don't pitch the reality of our season with kids' gloves.

U mean we join them at the bottom. Embarassing

YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED CHIEFS. I AM, FOR YOU.

You can’t be serious @chiefs. A comment like this during the free fall we’re experiencing is beyond comprehension. Get in touch with reality and stop tweeting, this is worse than our DB play and dumber than Peters throwing a flag on himself and then DQ’ing himself. WAKEUP
