Watch Chiefs’ Marcus Peters throw an official’s flag into the stands
The CBS announcers said they’ve never seen anything like it before.
I’m not sure anyone has.
During the fourth quarter of the Chiefs’ 38-31 loss to the Jets on Sunday, New York was going for a two-point conversion, which failed. However, the Chiefs were penalized for defensive holding and cornerback Marcus Peters lost his cool.
Peters picked up the official’s flag and tossed it into the stands.
Here is a look at the play:

Peters was not ejected, but he walked off the field and went to the locker room. He later returned to the sideline — without socks (and he seemed to be talking with someone in the stands):
A Jets fans got a one-of-a kind souvenir.
