Here are the radio, TV calls of Eric Hosmer’s walk-off homer for Royals
Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer got all of that one.
According to Home Run Tracker, Hosmer’s three-run, walk-off homer Wednesday night against former teammate Greg Holland had an exit velocity of 109 mph, traveled 398 feet and had a launch angle of 22 degrees.
It was a laser.
Hosmer’s home run that gave the Royals a 6-4 win over the Rockies night sent a jolt through the broadcast booths, too. Denny Matthews had the radio call and Steve Physioc was on Fox Sports Kansas City when Hosmer won the game with one swing.
As Matthews noted: “Greg Holland, who many, many times walked off that mound a winner with the save, will not get one tonight. Instead he gets the loss.”
