Mizzou football player criticizes media, says he won’t do interviews
Missouri defensive lineman Marcell Frazier said Tuesday that he is done talking with local media outlets.
Frazier, a senior who broke his arm in spring practice but is expected to play this fall, wrote on Twitter: “I will not be available to any local media this season. I gain nothing from it. I am still an amateur, not binded to do interviews (yet).”

You’ll note that Frazier didn’t say that national media organizations were included in this decision.
What led Frazier to make the proclamation? It’s impossible to know for sure, but he tweeted a couple of thoughts after Mizzou basketball player Jeremiah Tilmon was issued a summons for underage drinking on Monday.
Frazier wrote: “The writers get such a kick when MU athletes are arrested. Almost as though it’s a chance for them to reinforce their beliefs.”

Two hours later, he wrote: “Teenager with a beer is covered like watergate. Frats spiking drinks, committing assault, and encouraging underage drinking is a non story.”
