Fan jumps into Kauffman Stadium fountains going for a home-run ball
This wasn’t a great decision for many reasons.
The Royals’ Brandon Moss hit a home run into the fountains at Kauffman Stadium during Friday night’s game against the Orioles. One fan decided he just had to have the ball and jumped into the water to get the ball.
Twitter user Jacob Haus shared this video.

There are signs around the fountains that say it’s against the law to jump into the water, but this guy went for it anyway. It’s worth noting that there are a lot of electrical wires in fountains, so forget legal problems, jumping into the water could mean a serious medical problem.
The “glory” of getting the ball didn’t last long for this dude. A Twitter user named Shellie shared this:

Toby Cook, the Royals’ vice president of publicity, said in an email message that the man was arrested and taken into custody by the Kansas City Police Department on trespassing charges.
This man may not remember what happened to Jessica McCoy, a resident of Iowa who jumped into the fountains during a game in 2013. She was called “Fountain Lady” or “Fountain Mom” at the time, but it was not a happy memory for McCoy.
McCoy was cited for trespassing, resisting arrest and solicitation, and later lost her job.
No baseball is worth all that.
