Seahawks’ Tyler Lockett, Jake Heaps return to KC area
Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett had only one catch for 11 yards, but it’s always a blast for him to appear at Arrowhead Stadium, no far from where he played at Kansas State and where he grew up in Tulsa, Okla.
“I had a lot of family come out,” Lockett said. “This is the closest that I’m going to be able to get home.”
Also appearing in the game for Seattle is former Kansas quarterback Jake Heaps. He was with the Jayhawks for only one season, after starting his career at Brigham Young and ending it at Miami, Fla., but the Washington native wore a Seahawks uniform for the first time. He completed three of 10 passes for 13 yards.
Lockett and the Wildcats beat Heaps and the Jayhawks 31-10 in 2013
