Jamaal Charles agrees to contract extension, will head to Chiefs camp

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is headed to training camp after agreeing Wednesday afternoon to a two-year contract extension with the team, multiple sources told The Star. A person with knowledge of the situation said Charles is set to earn more than $18 million in new money from the deal and $8.3 million this season, which will make him the second-highest paid running back this year, behind Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson.
