Chiefs’ Allen Bailey will sit vs. Broncos
The Chiefs will be without one of their best defensive players on Sunday.
Defensive end Allen Bailey, who missed practice Thursday and Friday because of a calf injury, has officially been ruled out of the Chiefs’ AFC West game at Denver.
“During warmups (he) tweaked his calf, strained his calf,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said.
Tight end James O’Shaugnessy, who fractured a small bone in his foot this week and did not practice Friday, has also been ruled out. As has left guard Ben Grubbs, who missed the Chiefs’ last game because of a neck injury and has not practiced all week.
Inside linebacker Ramik Wilson (ankle) was limited on Friday and is listed as questionable.
Broncos injuries
Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware has been ruled out because of a back injury, while receiver Emmanuel Sanders — who did not practice all week — is listed as questionable.
Quarterback Peyton Manning was limited on Thursday and Friday, but he is listed as probable.
