Two Chiefs have been fined for their penalties in a 16-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Cornerback Steven Nelson was fined $17,363 for his roughing-the-passer penalty against Minnesota quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, while running back Charcandrick West was fined $8,681 for his chop block on defensive end Scott Crichton.

Nelson dove at the legs of Bridgewater during the second quarter, turning a third-and-1 incompletion into an automatic first down. The Vikings scored their only touchdown of the day on the drive.

West's penalty turned a third-and-1 incompletion at the Vikings’ 14 into a third-and-16 situation. Chiefs kicker Cairo Santos still converted a 48-yard field goal to cut the deficit to 13-3 early in the fourth quarter.
