Chiefs sign six of nine draft picks, including Mitch Morse of MU
Six of the Chiefs’ nine draft picks are now in the fold.
Center Mitch Morse, inside linebacker Ramik Wilson, inside linebacker D.J. Alexander, defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches, tight end James O’Shaughnessy and receiver Da’Ron Brown have signed contracts, the Chiefs announced Tuesday.
Morse, who went to Missouri, was drafted in the second round, while Wilson, who went to Georgia, was taken in the fourth round. Alexander, who went to Oregon State, was taken in the fifth round, while Nunez-Roches, who went to Southern Mississippi, was taken in the sixth round.
O’Shaughnessy, who went to Illinois State, was a fifth-round pick and Brown, who played at Northern Illinois, was a seventh-round pick.
The Chiefs also drafted Washington cornerback Marcus Peters in the first round, Georgia receiver Chris Conley and Oregon State cornerback Steven Nelson in the third round.
