Royals’ offense goes lifeless in 2-1 loss to Minnesota Twins

On the doorstep of the final two months of their most highly anticipated season in 20 years, the Royals offered up one of their worst performances of the season Tuesday night in a 2-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins. The Kansas City lineup managed a mere two hits and never advanced a runner to third base in Minnesota starter Kyle Gibson’s seven innings.
