Royals don’t support James Shields in 5-1 loss to the Tigers

Royals starter James Shields threw a season-high 121 pitches, but he didn’t get much help from the offense or bullpen in a 5-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night at Kauffman Stadium. The Tigers can sweep the four-game series with a win in Sunday's finale.
