The Royals announced Friday that third baseman Mike Moustakas has been reinstated from the Bereavement/Family Medical Emergency List.

The team said Moustakas will rejoin the club for Friday’s 7:10 p.m. game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Kauffman Stadium. Moustakas left Sunday’s game against Minnesota. He missed all four games against the Tampa Bay Rays.

In a corresponding roster move, the club optioned infielder Cheslor Cuthbert to Class AAA Omaha. Cuthbert hit .333 with two RBIs and a triple.
