Alex Gordon, Salvador Perez go deep as Royals sweep Giants with 7-4 victory

The hottest team in baseball won its seventh game in a row on Sunday, as the Royals executed a sweep of San Francisco with a 7-4 victory and held firm at the Detroit Tigers’ heels for the lead in the American League Central. Danny Duffy silenced the Giants’ lineup as his teammates thrashed Giants starter Tim Lincecum and won for the 15th time in their last 18 games.
