Missouri men’s basketball will replace its strength and conditioning coach, Matt Herring.

A Tigers spokesman confirmed the move Monday in a statement: “Mizzou Men’s Basketball is moving in a new direction with its strength and conditioning program. We thank Matt Herring for his contributions the past two seasons and wish him the best in the future.”

Herring replaced Todor Pandov when he left with former Missouri coach Frank Haith for Tulsa in April 2014.

Herring was the strength and conditioning coach at Florida during its back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007 and also worked the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs. He was hired by Kim Anderson in June 2014.

The Tigers’ offseason program ramps up in June when incoming players arrive on campus for summer workouts.

The team will embark on an international tour of Italy in August as Mizzou looks to rebound from 9-23 and 10-21 seasons during Anderson’s first two years.
