Red-hot Mizzou women's basketball team returns to AP poll for first time since 2006

The red-hot Mizzou women’s basketball team returned to the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2006, garnering the No. 25 spot in the latest rankings released on Monday.

The Tigers have yet to lose this season. They are off to the first 11-0 start in the history of the program, ranking second nationally in free-throw shooting percentage (78.2) and 11th in scoring margin (+24.6) and rebounding margin (+13.0).

MU received 79 votes from media members around the country. The last time they were ranked was Jan. 9, 2006, when they were No. 24. Before that, the last time they’d been ranked was in 1985.

The team returns to action Monday evening with a 7 p.m. tip against Texas State at Mizzou Arena.
