▪ ABOUT NORTH CAROLINA STATE (7-3): Four members of the Wolfpack average in doubles figures in scoring, led by Cat Barber, a junior point guard. Barber’s 21.1 points per game rank second in the ACC and 20th in the nation. Barber also ranks second in the ACC and 34th nationally at 5.8 assists per game. He’ll be a handful, especially for a foul-prone defense. Freshman wing Maverick Rowan and sophomore swingman Caleb Martin provide additional scoring punch for NC State, which outrebounds its opponents by 6.8 per game.
▪ ABOUT MISSOURI (5-4): The Tigers were embarrassed Sunday at No. 13 Arizona, who hung a 36-point loss on Missouri. It was the second-worst loss of the Kim Anderson era, but North Carolina State is a much more winnable game, especially at home. The Tigers actually shoot marginally better than the Wolfpack overall and from three-point range. Rebounding and limited turnovers will be crucial for Missouri, which is averaging 12 second-chance points allowed and 15 turnovers the last three games.
