Missouri sophomore forward Kayla McDowell’s season is finished after she suffered a torn ACL in her left knee Friday against Colorado.

Tigers coach Robin Pingeton made the announcement after Sunday’s 47-40 win against Northern Illinois at Mizzou Arena.

McDowell, a 6-foot-2 Cincinnati native, was third on MU in scoring at 8.4 points and second with 7.0 rebounds per game.

Missouri, 8-2, already lost sophomore point guard Lianna Doty before the season to a Lisfranc injury.

Freshman guard Carrie Shephard remains sidelined with three stress fractures in her leg and also might not return this season.
