KU sets Guinness world record for holiday sweaters during Montana victory

Take that, Loughborough University.

The University of Kansas on Saturday set a Guinness world record for the “largest gathering of people wearing holiday sweaters.” The record-setting performance came during Kansas’ 88-46 victory over Montana at Allen Fieldhouse.

According to the official count, there were 3,473 fans wearing holiday sweaters during Saturday’s game, besting the previous mark of 1,175 people in sweaters at Loughborough University in Loughborough, United Kingdom, on Dec. 10, 2014.
