Kansas gets half of ESPN’s Big Monday basketball broadcasts

Kansas once again will be a regular on ESPN’s “Big Monday” college basketball broadcasts.

The Jayhawks will appear on four of the eight weeks with two games in Lawrence and two on the road, including a Feb. 23 contest at Kansas State. That’s the Wildcats’ lone appearance on Big Monday.

In the Big 12 era, Kansas is 52-17 in Big Monday games, including 29-1 at home. The Jayhawks have won 22 straight at home, including 18 under coach Bill Self.

Big Monday broadcasts begin with an Atlantic Coast Conference game at 6 p.m. with the Big 12 game tipping around 8 p.m.

The series begins on Jan. 5, but takes thenext Monday off, which will be the night of the first College Football Playoff championship game on ESPN.

Jan. 5: Oklahoma at Texas, 8 p.m.

Jan. 19: Oklahoma at Kansas, 8 p.m.

Jan. 26: Texas at Iowa State, 8 p.m.

Feb. 2: Iowa State at Kansas, 8 p.m.

Feb. 9: Iowa State at Oklahoma, 8 p.m.

Feb. 16: Kansas at West Virginia, 8 p.m.

Feb. 23: Kansas at Kansas State, 8 p.m.

March 2: Baylor at Texas or Oklahoma at Iowa State, 8 p.m.
