Conor McGregor Issues Strong Message Months Before Max Holloway Fight
Conor McGregor is set to return to the Octagon on July 11 in Las Vegas during International Fight Week at UFC 329 against Max Holloway.
McGregor has been away from the sport for roughly five years, with his last fight coming in 2021 against Dustin Poirier, where he suffered a fractured tibia and fibula.
Now officially signed and back in full training camp, McGregor provided a major update on his preparation while also issuing a strong message months ahead of his return fight via social media.

"Thank you for all the love, support, and encouragement over the last few days, people!" McGregor posted on Instagram. "I am feeling very energized entering intense training camp because of it!
"I am very grateful for the team I have around me. My coaches and training partners, we are all fully tuned in for the challenge at hand and it is a glorious time in our gym! I am better than ever, and I relish the opportunity to once again show my mastery in martial arts to the world."
McGregor has seemingly been training and sparring with longtime partner and fellow fighter Nicolo Solli, and will obviously need to be in remarkable shape to challenge Holloway, who has fought six times since 2023 and eight times since the last time McGregor stepped into the Octagon.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Holloway has opened as a significant -455 favorite, while McGregor sits at +350.
