Deion Sanders is facing calls to apologize to a longtime NFL reporter.

One of Deion Sanders' sons, Shilo Sanders, has been calling out female NFL reporter Mary Kay Cabot. Shilo Sanders has taken issue with Cabot's reporting on Shedeur Sanders and the Browns. But he's gone too far.

Shilo Sanders has told Cabot that she would be better off making someone a sandwich in the kitchen, rather than reporting on the NFL. It's sexist and offensive, of course. Cabot hasn't been happy about it.

Deion Sanders, meanwhile, has defended his son.

Deion Sanders defended what his son said.

"We don't talk about nobody," Deion said on The Barbershop with Garrett Bush. "We don't do nothing to nobody. I know Shilo had a little altercation that he spoke up for his brother. You've got to understand, man, that's his brother.

"And, God bless Mary Kay's soul, that's his brother. I mean, she said something, he said something, like media is different today. I know a lot of people don't respect the old school. I do, because I grew up in that era that we didn't have a say so … But Shilo spoke up for his brother, and he was ridiculed for that."

Deion Sanders is facing calls to apologize.

"Doesn't matter what his intent was, that's offensive," one wrote.

"Deion needs to apologize to Mary Kay for that," one added.

"Not OK, Deion. Do better," one shared.

"Deion Sanders...come on, man. That's not acceptable," another fan added.

The Colorado Buffaloes head coach is clearly standing by his kids and their comments, though, offensive or not.
