Knicks Offer Timothée Chalamet 10-Day Contract After Viral Video
Actor Timothée Chalamet is a regular at New York Knicks playoff games, attending their most recent wins over the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden, including Game 1’s rout and last night’s much closer victory.
In Game 2, New York fought into the fourth quarter, ultimately putting a bit of distance between themselves and the 76ers, who were without big man Joel Embiid. The Knicks won 108-102 behind 26 points from Jalen Brunson and 24 from OG Anunoby.
Chalament was on ESPN’s celebrity video highlight reel from MSG, kissing his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, courtside, but he’s also captured the Knicks’ attention for his viral basketball video.
The award-nominated “Marty Supreme” actor shared an Instagram carousel post on Wednesday that showcases his Knicks experience and some of his basketball skills.

In the clip, Chalamet dribbles from the side of the three-point arc to the top as a friend guards him. He looks straight at the camera and calls out, “Easy money.”
Once he hits the top of the arc, Chalamet pulls up, releases with his defender all over him, and swishes the three-point shot through the net.
Those sorts of skills typically don’t go unnoticed, and most likely, he’s shown he’s deserving of a spot in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game next year.
The basketball shot clip caught the New York Knicks’ attention, prompting a curious comment informing the actor they’d sent him a message.
“check your dms we just sent you a 10-day,” the Knicks account told Chalamet.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards also weighed in with a comment telling the actor, “Yea killa.”
If that’s a serious offer, it would be surprising to see Chalamet turn that type of thing down, based on his avid Knicks fandom. The French actor previously appeared on various podcasts, including several with former and current Knicks players, discussing his love for the team.
“If you live in New York, you are a Knicks fan. No disrespect to Nets fans,” the actor said, also recalling how he appeared in a video from a game years ago as a little kid.
Stay tuned to see if Chalamet goes from portraying an on-screen ping-pong legend to donning a Knicks jersey as another major milestone in his career.
