Aliyah Boston Made Sure Caitlin Clark Stayed Out of Trouble in Fever Game

Indiana Fever forward Aliyah Boston always has Caitlin Clark's best interest at heart. The 24-year-old played the role of peacemaker in Indiana's 105-57 rout of Nigeria in their final preseason game on Sunday.

Boston ensured cooler heads prevailed, keeping Clark from a potential technical foul or ejection. The incident occurred during a dead ball. Clark was seen jawing at a referee just before a substitution.

Boston's leadership instincts came in handy. She gently pushed Clark away from the official and directed her toward coach Stephanie White on the bench.

A video of the incident is currently making its round on social media.

Clark heeded Boston's advisce as the former headed to the bench. It was a small moment, but one that spoke volumes about Boston's role within the Fever.

Clark finished with 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting, 2-of-3 from three and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. She added three assists, one rebound and one steal in 13 minutes.

Boston was equally steady. The Fever big contributed four points on 2-of-3 shooting, six assists and one block in 10 minutes of play.
