Is there a new “Mad Pooper”?

A neighbor in an Orchard Park, N.Y., neighborhood has complained to police that someone — maybe a jogger — left poop and tissue outside her home, reports The Buffalo News.

This smells a lot like what happened in a Colorado Springs, Colo., neighborhood in September when a female jogger there kept defecating in public. Neighbors nicknamed her the “Mad Pooper.”

Police called her behavior “abnormal.” Charmin even tried to flush her out by offering her a year’s supply of toilet paper if she turned herself in.

“Could it be that the Mad Pooper fled to Western New York to escape the national attention, but couldn’t resist going back to her old ways?” wonders Deadspin. “Or is this a copycat crapping?”

In Orchard Park, home of the Buffalo Bills, a neighbor complained to police on Nov. 8 that she had found feces and tissue outside her home on more than one occasion, Lt. Jason M. Schiedel told the Buffalo newspaper.

He said Orchard Park police respond to occasional pooping-in-public calls, but they’re usually associated with Bills games.

He told the News that police “don’t have much go to on” in this case.

Though police have received only one complaint, someone placed an ad in the local PennySaver putting the fecal malefactor on notice.

“To the person/jogger who is pooping on our lawns in the Village of O.P.: STOP!!,” the ad reads.

It came with a threat: “We have installed trail cams to identify you!”

Police told the News they have increased patrols in the area, but the threat of catching them in the act on camera is probably a stronger deterrent.

One hitch: Police would have to catch the offender, quite literally, with their pants down.

Colorado’s “Mad Pooper,” meanwhile, has never been identified, though an anonymous person claiming to be a “family representative” issued a public apology on YouTube.
