Missouri Republican Eric Greitens wants to shoot ‘politics as usual’ until it explodes
Republican gubernatorial hopeful Eric Greitens wants everyone to know how much he despises the status quo in Missouri’s Capitol.
So in his first television ad of the 2016 campaign, the former Navy SEAL fires declares that he’ll “take dead aim at politics as usual,” then fires a rifle into an unknown object until it explodes.
Then he adds, for good measure: “If you’re ready for a conservative outsider, I’m ready to fire away.”
Greitens, who has never run for public office before this year, is facing off against businessman John Brunner, former Missouri House Speaker Catharine Hanaway and Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder in the August Republican primary.
