Bob Dole’s connections with the Donald Trump campaign continue to grow.

Dole has endorsed Trump. Michael Glassner, a Dole aide, is a key lieutenant in Trump’s campaign. Paul Manafort worked for Dole. Trump has hired Dole’s pollster. Lew Eisenberg, who agreed Wednesday to raise money for Trump and the RNC, once raised money for Dole.

And Wednesday, a former Dole state chairman was on the short list of potential Trump Supreme Court nominees.

In a release, the Trump campaign said federal appeals court judge Raymond Gruender is on his list of potential nominees. Gruender works in St. Louis, with the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.

In 1996, though, Gruender served as Dole’s state chairman in Missouri.
