Victim of fatal KCK shooting is identified as 19-year-old Olathe man
A man fatally shot in a Tuesday night exchange of gunfire in Kansas City, Kan., has been identified as Eduardo F. Celestin of Olathe.
Celestin, 19, was shot in the 4700 block of Richmond Avenue.
According to police, Celestin was in a vehicle and exchanged gunfire with the occupant of another vehicle. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Police later found the occupant of that car near 50th Street and State Avenue. He suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital.
Police on Wednesday were continuing to investigate the incident. They ask anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
