KC police arrest man accused of exposing himself at Waldo coffee shop
Kansas City police arrested a 59-year-old man Sunday at a Waldo coffee shop for sexual misconduct after he allegedly exposed himself to a female customer.
The incident happened just after 11 a.m. in the 7400 block of Wornall Road. The man is being held by federal immigration authorities.
The victim said she observed the man sitting at a table and masturbating while looking at her. She immediately left the business and alerted another man, who approached the first man.
The alleged offender walked out, but a witness followed him. Police arrested him without incident a short time later at 77th Street and Brookside Road.
The man, who has not been charged, was taken to a hospital after he complained about back pain and high blood pressure.
In 2009, he served 30 days in the Jackson County jail after pleading guilty to sexual misconduct. The previous year, he served 120 days shock time after pleading guilty to burglary. The eight-year prison sentence in that case was suspended, and he was placed on three years of probation.
