Kansas City teen shot during fistfight

Police are investigating the case of a teen shot in the arm early Friday following a fistfight that moved from one location to another.

Officers were patrolling in the 2500 block of Brooklyn Avenue when they heard numerous gunshots. They responded and found many shell casings, a baseball bat, hair weave and clothing.

Officers then were sent to 10th Street and Prospect Avenue on a report of a shooting. There they found a teen with a gunshot wound to the arm.

They learned that the shooting occurred at 25th and Brooklyn after a fight between a group of teenage boys and girls.
