KC store clerk is knocked unconscious by female robber

A Kansas City convenience store clerk was knocked unconscious late Wednesday by a female customer who grabbed several items and fled, police said.

The incident occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 8400 block of Hickman Mills Drive.

The clerk told police that she was working behind the counter when the female customer began arguing about change. The clerk told her she needed to leave, but she refused.

The clerk walked around the counter and again told the woman to leave.

The woman punched the clerk in the face, and the clerk fell unconscious to the floor.

Another customer in the store later told police that the attacker’s male companion kicked the clerk while she was on the floor.

The couple grabbed several items and left, according to the witness, who called 911.

A detailed description of the couple was not available.
