The FBI announced on Monday a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the recovery of seven iconic Andy Warhol Campbell’s Soup paintings stolen from the Springfield Art Museum.

It is believed that someone broke in to the museum early April 7 and took seven of the 10 Andy Warhol paintings that were on permanent display at the museum, according to a release from the FBI.

The Springfield Art Museum has owned the collection since 1985 and it is set number 31 of the Campbell’s Soup I collection. It is valued at about $500,000.

Each painting is 37 inches high by 24.5 inches wide. They are framed in white frames.

Anyone with information about the theft or the location of the stolen artwork is asked to call the FBI’s Springfield office at 417-882-3303, the Springfield Police Department’s TIPS hotline at 417-869-8477, or their local law enforcement agency.

The FBI’s Art Crime Team has special agents and trial attorneys trained in recovering stolen items and prosecuting art and cultural property crimes.

The FBI also runs the National Stolen Art File, a computerized index of stolen art and cultural properties.
