Man fatally shot outside shopping center on Kansas City’s East Side
Police were investigating a shooting Sunday evening at a shopping center on Kansas City’s east side that left one man dead.
The shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m. at the shopping center in the 8700 block of East 63rd Street.
An off-duty officer working security at one of the businesses in the center heard gunshots outside, police said.
As the officer walked outside, he saw a man down on the ground in the parking lot. Emergency crews responded and declared the man deceased, police said.
