Kansas City homicide victim identified

The victim of a central Kansas City homicide on Sunday was identified Wednesday as 21-year-old Brandon Dean.

Kansas City police said that Dean was walking near 40th Street and Indiana Avenue on Sunday night when another man pulled out a gun and began shooting at him. Dean ran into a business at the corner of 39th Street and Indiana and collapsed on the floor. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he later was pronounced dead.
