KC police arrest two after car chase

Kansas City police took two people into custody Thursday in Waldo after a stolen car in which they were riding collided with a truck near near 79th Street and Wornall Road.

Officers began pursuing the car about 10:45 a.m. near East 43rd Street and Pittman Road in east Kansas City, said police Sgt. Kari Thompson. The pursuit ended when the stolen car struck a truck.

Police handed over a girl to Jackson County juvenile authorities and booked a man into the downtown city jail, Thompson said.
