Man charged in Raytown shooting death

A Kansas City man has been charged in the shooting death of Monteario Hogan in Raytown on Oct. 24, the Jackson County prosecutor’s office announced Monday.

Malcolm D. Johnson, 25, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Prosecutors requested bond set at $250,000.

According to court records, witnesses saw Johnson shoot Hogan, 22, behind the Family Dollar store at 5242 Blue Ridge Blvd. Hogan received one shot to the head.
