Suspicious death investigation under way in Bonner Springs

Bonner Springs police on Friday identified a woman found dead in her home Wednesday afternoon as 50-year-old Lana Sloan.

An autopsy determined that Sloan died from a gunshot wound. Police said the case is being investigated as a suspicious death.

Sloan was found dead after police were called to her home in the 800 block of North 141st Street just before 4 p.m. Wednesday.
