Police name man who was killed at Kansas City grocery store Thursday
Kansas City police have identified a young man who died after being shot late Thursday morning at a small grocery store near 24th Street and Brighton Avenue.
Cepeda Jackson Jr, 18, of Kansas City, died inside the Hot Spot market about 11:30 a.m. He had run into the store seeking help after he was shot outside, police said. A store neighbor reported hearing a rapid series of six to eight gunshots.
