A Kansas City teenager was accused Friday in the June killing of a man in central Kansas City.
Eric D. Little Jr., 17, was charged in Jackson County Circuit Court with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the June 22 shooting death of Brandon Dean.
Dean, 21, was killed near 39th Street and Indiana Avenue.
According to court records, a person who was with Dean that night said they got into an argument with a person who pulled out a gun. The witness said Dean tackled the gunman and as the two struggled, another person approached with a gun.

The witness said he heard a shot and then he and Dean started running. The first person began firing shots and Dean was hit, according to court documents.
The surviving victim later identified Little from a photographic lineup as the person Dean had struggled with, according to court records.
Another 17-year-old, Rashad L. Williams, is alleged to be the second gunman and has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
Both teens remain at large, and police are asking anyone who knows their whereabouts to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
