Police search for shooter after Kansas City man critically injured

Kansas City police searched for a shooter on Tuesday after a man was found seriously wounded in the 3800 block of College Avenue.

Officers were called to the neighborhood shortly after noon on Tuesday, and found a gunshot victim who was transported to a hospital in critical condition, according to police.

Witnesses told police that the shooter might be in a residence in the 4300 block of Benton Boulevard. But when police searched the home, they did not find a suspect.

No further details of the investigation were available Tuesday.
