Murder charge filed in Shawnee baby’s death

A 24-year-old Overland Park man has been charged with murder in the death Tuesday of a 7-month-old baby in Shawnee.

Aaron Peck was arrested and charged Friday with first-degree murder and child abuse in child’s death. He is being held at the Johnson County Jail with bond set at $1,000,000.

Peck is accused of abusing the child on Monday, a day before the death. He is scheduled to appear in court in Johnson County on Monday.
