Police identify homicide victim in KCK

Kansas City, Kan., police were investigating a homicide Tuesday afternoon a few blocks north of the University of Kansas Hospital.

Police said they were called just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to the area of Francis and Bristow streets, just west of State Line Road, and found a female victim inside a vehicle, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was identified Tuesday night as 22-year-old Kelsey K. Ewonus of Overland Park.

Detectives are now searching for clues and anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
