North Kansas City bar fight, shooting ends in death
An early-morning shooting outside a North Kansas City bar ended with one man dead and police searching for a gunman.
Stacy Conrad, 38, was shot when a fight erupted into gunfire outside the River Aces bar at 18th and Swift streets about 2 a.m. Saturday. It was not known where Conrad was from.
When North Kansas City police arrived they found Conrad wounded in the street. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he died shortly after arriving.
Police said there had been several other people in the area when the shots were fired. No other injuries were reported.
Witnesses at the scene were interviewed by police but details about what led to the shooting were not available from police.
No arrest was made. Police were searching for a suspect and asked that anyone with information in the case call the Crime Stoppers tips hotline at 816-474-8477.
