KC checkpoint yields 13 DUI arrests
Kansas City police, in conjunction with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, arrested 13 impaired drivers during a sobriety checkpoint late Friday night and early Saturday at Blue Parkway and Holiday Drive.
Police stopped 292 vehicles. Four drivers were cited for driving while their licenses were suspended or revoked, two fugitives were arrested, and a stolen firearm was recovered. Officers also arrested individuals for narcotics, and city and state warrants, said Sgt. Christopher Bentch, the DUI section supervisor.
